Get The Knack Again

We have just received confirmation that Get The Knack, is being rereleased by Iconoclassic Records.

Focused on rock, pop, and R&B music of the 1970s and ’80s, Iconoclassic Records specializes in notable albums that have never been released on CD, as well as classic titles that have fallen out of print.  “Iconoclassic is run by the same people you see on the message boards and blogs: fans delighting in well-mastered and packaged reissues, and voicing their disappointment when their favorite titles are either unavailable or reissued in a manner not befitting their classic status,” says label President Frank Ursoleo, a 25 year veteran of the music industry.

This November the boutique label will be reissuing The Knack’s record-breaking debut album into the marketplace as a physical compact disc.  This new release features insightful new liner notes by power pop historian Ken Sharp and a new mastering done by Grammy Award® winning engineer Vic Anesini.

“It is our contention that a work of art as iconic as The Knack’s first album should always be available for individuals to purchase as a physical work, as opposed to being available solely as a download,” explains Mr. Ursuleo.

Agreed.  More details to come…
