The Knack Likes Black Vinyl

Prescott Niles is keeping rock alive in the best possible way… Meet Liv and Gabe Niles, Prescott’s two children, who together with powerhouse vocalist Dylan Nash, Jack Ripper on lead guitar, and Eric Olsen on bass form the LA-based rock band Black Vinyl.

Liv, 19, is on guitar and vocals. Her 16 year-old brother Gabe plays drums. Both have been surrounded by music their entire lives, and it shows. Black Vinyl is catching the attention of industry professionals and their members have performed with several Grammy nominated and world touring artists.

“The Knack and my dad largely shaped both Gabe’s and my musical aesthetics,” says Liv. “He taught us how to play from a young age. He is extremely musically educated and shared that knowledge with us.”

Black Vinyl will be following in The Knack’s footsteps all the way to The Whisky A Go Go on July 22 at 8pm. Talk about leaving a legacy!
